A.B. Hadley gained my trust as a family owned business years ago but I've noticed a change since it obtained new ownership in 2020. I don't doubt the skill of the mechanics but I am displeased with how expensive it has gotten to service my vehicle here, especially after taking my car elsewhere and learning that I can get honest service from mechanics who don't charge nearly as much. A few weeks ago, I took my car in to get the brakes serviced and learned I would be charged $1,000 (to replace front brake pads, rotors and calipers). I decided against it, even with pressure tactics from Keri, but still had to pay $134.87 for the diagnosis. After calling 3 other mechanics to get estimates for replacing the components plus labor, I immediately knew I was being overcharged at A.B. Hadley. I asked to speak with Tom, the owner, about this, because I didn't want to go straight to writing a negative review, but was informed that he was busy. I instead got a call from Jeff a few days later, and I didn't feel heard. It seems to me that they think they can get away with charging so much for using high quality parts and being "the best shop in town." I should also add that my calipers didn't even need to be replaced, and the same goes for many other parts that this business pressures you to consider fixing for a high price. In conclusion, I no longer feel comfortable coming here and I have a family member (that also came here before) who feels the same way.
